General Setup

Atoms themes come with custom layouts for common pages such as Contact. Follow these steps to set up your pages.

1. Create the page

  1. From Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Pages.

  2. Click Add a page

  3. Insert a “Title” and “Short description” for your page (used for SEO! the actual content is added in Step 2)

  4. Select a template for your page: contact.

  5. Click Save.

2. Add Content

  1. From Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.

  2. Locate your Atoms Theme

  3. Click Customize

  4. Navigate to the page you’ve just created

  5. In the Sections bar, on the left, click on Name page

  6. Enter your info

  7. Click Save

NOTE: Even if your new webpage is visible, it won’t appear in your online store’s navigation automatically. You’ll need to add a link to it in a menu manually.

So, you need add the pages, and products and create collections, webpages, store policies, or blog posts to the menu on your online store so that customers will be able to find them.

You can view and change your online store menu from the Online store > Navigation page in your Shopify admin.

  1. From Shopify admin, go to Online store > Navigation.

  2. On the Navigation page, click the Main menu.

  3. Click Add menu item.

  4. Enter a name for the menu item. This name displays in the menu and can include special characters or emojis.

  5. Click the Link field, and then enter a website address for an external website or select a link type

  • If you selected a collection or all collections, then you can filter the collection with tags to display only the products that match all of the tags that you enter.

  • If you selected a link type, then select a specific destination. When you select Home, the destination is automatically set to your online store's home page.

5. Click Add to add your menu item.

6. Click Save menu.

4. Translations

Customers all over the world enjoy viewing the content in their native language. You can enable multiple languages from your Shopify admin to create separate URLs for your translated content. When customers land on a translated URL, your store automatically shows the translated version if translations exist.

Make sure your store meets the requirements for selling in multiple languages. Except for Shopify Lite, each plan gives you the option to sell in up to 20 languages from a single Shopify store.

Publish languages

  • Add/publish languages to your store

    1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Languages.

    2. Click Add Language

    3. Choose a language from the drop-down menu, then click Add.

    4. In Unpublished languages, click Publish beside the language that you want to make available to customers in your store.

    5. Click Save.

  • Assign new published languages to your store

    1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Languages.

    2. Click More actions besides the language that you want to add to a market.

    3. Click Add to market

    4. Click Done
